Newly acquired wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens, Odell Beckham Jr., has been vocal about his intention to make a dynamic return to the NFL stage after missing the entire 2022 season due to a knee injury.

However, there are lingering uncertainties regarding OBJ’s readiness, as well as star tight end Mark Andrews, for their explosive debut in the Week 1 matchup against the Houston Texans. Beckham’s status has been affected as he’s been added to the Ravens’ injury report due to an ankle injury.

During Thursday’s practice, he was limited, leaving just one more day for him to potentially participate fully in practice. This is of significant concern for the Lamar Jackson-led offense, which aims to emphasize its aerial game under the new guidance of offensive coordinator Todd Monken.

Unfortunately, the Ravens are currently dealing with a couple of setbacks. In addition to Beckham Jr., standout tight end Mark Andrews is also listed on the injury report due to a quad issue that has restricted his participation for two consecutive days.

On a brighter note, Ronnie Stanley, recovering from an ankle injury, is back to full participation, while Marlon Humphrey, who’s dealing with a foot injury, is still sidelined and not expected to play.

Nevertheless, the Ravens possess a formidable array of weapons. Besides adding the experienced Beckham, they have the likes of Rashod Bateman and rookie Zay Flowers, both of whom are formidable pass-catching threats, and JK Dobbins, who has demonstrated star potential at the running back position.

Beckham, entering his ninth season in the league, last saw action when he contributed to the Rams’ Super Bowl victory following the 2021 season, although he suffered an ACL injury in that game.

As he begins a new season, Beckham boasts an impressive career record with 7,367 receiving yards and 57 career touchdowns. However, there remains uncertainty surrounding his debut against the Texans.
