The Del Valle Conquistadores have maintained a consistent presence as a formidable contender in the Class 5A Division 1 category in recent times. Despite a significant loss of experienced players during the offseason, they remain optimistic about their potential to reassert their dominance.

Our goals revolve around capturing the district victory, achieving triumph in the bi-district round, and masterminding a triumphant playoff campaign. Our players are well aware of these ambitions, comprehend the requisite efforts, and are brimming with enthusiasm for the forthcoming year, affirmed Rudy Contreras, the Head Coach at Del Valle.
Having achieved a commendable 9-2 record in the previous year and clinching another District championship, the Conquistadores confront notable gaps to address in the current season, none more substantial than the absence of their three-year starting quarterback, Jesse Ramos.
Contreras acknowledged an ongoing competition to determine the replacement for Ramos and the quarterback role for this season. Emerging as a leading contender, sophomore talent Jake Fetti appears to be the frontrunner for the quarterback position.
“We hold significant belief in the individuals embracing the challenge,” Contreras commented. “Notably, Jake Fetti’s performance has been truly impressive.”
